COMPLEX ODONTOMA: MAXILLARY TUMOR CAUSING LARGE CYSTIC CAVITATION

Abstract
Odontomas odontogenic tumors are benign and usually asymptomatic. The etiology is still unknown. There are various types of complex, compound and ameloblastic fibro odontoma. It should not be forgotten that it may cause some complications and mimics some malign tumors. Treatment is surgical excision.
In this study, 24-year-old male patient who presented with pain and mass complaint and was diagnosed with complex odontoma at maxilla that made cystic cavitation was presented in the current literature.

Özet
Odontomalar benign odontojenik tümörlerdir ve çoğunlukla asemptomatik seyreder. Etiyolojisi halen daha tam olarak bilinmemektedir. Kompleks, kompaund ve ameloblastik fibro odontoma olmak üzere çeşitli tipleri vardır. Bazı malign tümörler ile karışması ve komplikasyonlara yol açabileceği unutulmamalıdır. Tedavisi cerrahi eksizyondur.
Bu çalışmada 24 yaşında ağrı ve kitle şikayeti ile başvuran maksilla yerleşimli ve geniş kistik kavitasyona neden olmuş bir kompleks odontoma olgusu literatür eşliğinde sunulmuştur.
