Abstract
Chronic otitis media (COM) is a disease characterized by infection of the middle ear and mastoid cavity, often presenting as a persistent condition. If left untreated, COM can lead to various serious complications. In our country, the incidence of complications related to COM has decreased due to increased accessibility to healthcare, early diagnosis, and treatment. In this case report, we present the diagnosis and treatment process of a patient with Luc's abscess, a rare extracranial complication of chronic otitis media in modern times.

Özet
Kronik otitis media (KOM), orta kulak ve mastoid kavitenin enfeksiyonu ile karakterize ve genellikle süreklilik arz eden bir hastalıktır. Tedavi edilmediği takdirde, KOM çeşitli ve ciddi komplikasyonlara yol açabilir. Ülkemizde hekim ulaşılabilirliğin artması ve erken tanı ve tedavi nedeniyle KOM’a bağlı komplikasyonların görülme sıklığı azalmıştır. Bu vaka sunumunda kronik otitin günümüzde nadir görülen ekstrakranial komplikasyonu olan subperiostal abselerden Luc absesi olan hastanın tanı ve tedavi sürecini sunacağız.
